My goal is simple in uncovering YOUR story— to help you function in the world of conservation, environmental education as efficiently as you can. This way, you can help create more ecological intimacy in the world – greater connection between the human and more-than-human worlds.
Mine involves resilience, owls, adaptation, lakes, yellowjackets, frogs, migration, spring lizards (salamanders to most), wild ginger, moss, rivers, a bear (or two), wolves, raccoons, caves, snakes, lizards, ponds, sun, moon, stars, hurricanes, floods, lots of other birds, lots of studying, observing, and many, many plants.
Why the skull?
This barred owl skull has ears that are aligned asymmetrically. For the owl, that means better ways to triangulate where prey is located. Though my ears are symmetrical (mostly), I chose this as a reminder – I’m here to listen to YOUR story. Between the two of us, we can track down the problem (prey) more easily.
